A project with public participation
During the closing time, the D.O.M. will be completely rebuilt. With the new museum we create the world of optics and the showcase of optics research.
At first need to know our own history to understand the context. We want to keep the history together with you. Let us share your personal memories and experiences about the former optical museum. Do you have any small keepsakes, photographs or the ticket from your visit? We are happy to receive your personal stories and objects!
How long does the project Erinnerungen @ D.O.M. go?
You can submit your memories from june to august 2019.
Who can participate?
All people who have special memories of the former Optical Museum can participate.
What can be submitted?
We accept your memories in form of texts, audio files or objects.
What happens to my submission?
The memories are permanently archived by the museum team as original and digital. A publication of selected memories and photographs is planned on the D.O.M.-website.

Come to our booth at the Deutsches Optisches Museum on the 6th or 7th of July, arrange a personal appointment or participate at post, e-mail or telephone:
