Multi-Immersion objectives

Multi-immersion objectives - marked Imm. - are suitable for immersion oil, glycerin and water.

The Plan-NEOFLUAR multi-immersion objectives allow immersion media with refactive indices between n = 1.33 and 1.52.

The specimens can be used with or without a cover slip. Due to their particularly high numerical aperture, their high luminance and the possibility of using special, fluorescence-free media, these objectives are highly beneficial for epi-fluorescence microscopy in particular.

For water immersion applications, they are particularly suitable for the examination of living objects, e.g. if the aqueous medium is to be entered directly without the use of a cover slip.
Furthermore, cleaning is very easy.
Since purified glycerin has almost no autofluorescence, this immersion medium is ideal for critical fluorescence examinations. However, it should be remembered that the Zeiss immersion oil has barely any autofluorescence either, but can collect considerably more light due to its higher refractive index. The choice is yours!

In inverted microscopy, they are particularly suitable for the limited compensation of non-standard bottom glass thicknesses (D < 0.17)="" or="" for="" the="" popular="" use="" of="" water="" as="" an="" immersion="" medium="" instead="" of="" oil="" with="" almost="" the="" same,="" high="" numerical="" apertures.="" />

For electrophysiology applications, however, Achroplan water objectives should be used with the Axioskop FS.
