The performance of these top-of-the-line objectives for observation and photomicrography is limited only by the laws of physics.

he excellent correction and extremely high apertures of the Plan-APOCHROMAT objectives provide maximum resolution, color fidelity, contrast and image flatness for observation and photomicrography.

The extremely high numerical apertures, for example of the Plan-APOCHROMAT 10x/0.5, 20x/0.75 and 63x/1.4, make these objectives ideal for fluorescence microscopy.
The extreme resolution allows the visualization of structures which are otherwise invisible. As, in fluorescence, the numerical aperture determines the image brightness to the power of four, Plan-APOCHROMAT objectives are also highly suitable for this application.

These objectives are totally corrected for a finite layer thickness in the area of the focal plane, e.g. the Plan-APOCHROMAT 10x/0.32 for the layer thickness of 6 mm. This is only available from Zeiss.

The objectives can be used up to the field number 25.
