Epiplan-NEOFLUAR objectives have been designed for materials examinations. They differ from Epiplan objectives in that they have a higher numerical aperture and therefore a higher resolving power.

The line of Epiplan-NEOFLUAR objectives is more extensive.
For example, the objectives 1.25x and 2.5x are also available in the lower magnification range. The maximum object field diameter of 20 mm can thus be obtained at the lowest objective magnification.

The objectives are also suitable for transmitted-light examinations. However, objects with a cover slip can only be used up to the magnification 20x due to the spherical aberration. There are no restrictions for uncovered specimens.
