The KONTRON software products KS 100 to KS 400 are available for image analysis. A hardware-independent system design guarantees that all systems are used or can be used either only as software systems or as complete, full-fledged systems. Upward compatibility for image archiving, processing and analysis is assured at all times, allowing initial systems to be subsequently configured as universal high-performance units:

KS 100 - Interactive measurement

The KS 100 operates as an interactive measuring system with the digitizing tablet. For digitization and measurement of the image material, KS 100 also supports video cameras, projected images and the instrument combination of microscope and drawing tube. The measuring software is based on geometric parameters. KS 100 offers extensive statistical functions for the evaluation of measurement results.

KS 200 - Image archiving

The KS 200 offers many different and efficient possibilities for digitization, archiving and metrological evaluation. Images, texts and numerical results are managed in an image database with MS-Access as its basis.

KS 300 - Automatic image processing

Extensive contrast enhancement and filtering functions are available for the processing of images. The measuring software is based on geometric and densitometric parameters. The macro-recorder offers the possibility of automating specific customer applications and adapting them to special requirements.

KS 400 - Universal image processing

Designed as a high-end product for automatic image processing and image analysis in 2D and 3D, the KS 400 meets all requirements of modern image metrology. The basis of the measuring software is once again geometric and densitometric parameters. The powerful macro-interpreter permits application-oriented programming. In addition, KS 400 offers gray image morphology and comprehensive segmenting techniques. The systematic incorporation of state-of-the-art floating point algorithms heralds the dawning of a new era in image processing quality.

KS Image Analyzer

This universal software for image processing and analysis was specially designed for Zeiss laser scan microscopes. It is compatible with standard image file formats and accesses images in the LSM frame store. This allows the performance of KS functions within the LSM software.
