Axiolab A was designed for routine operation and training purposes in industry and science. Its attractive price/performance ratio makes it an ideal configuration for materials laboratories, quality control and materials inspection.

The Axiolab A sets new trends in its instrument category: Until the advent of the Axiolab A, the benefits of high-performance ICS optics (Infinity Color-corrected System) were only provided by research microscopes. Now, with this new incident light microscope, they are also available for routine applications. Specimens can be examined in incident light brightfield and incident light polarization contrast.

Using the camera or video port of the tube, the Axiolab A can be combined with the special MC 80 microscope camera. A drawing eyepiece can be used for training purposes. Normally, the compact, opaque material samples are examined on a fixed or sliding stage. A special auto-leveling stage is available for the assessment of specimens polished on one side.

The microscope's versatility is underlined by the possibility of supplementing it with full-fledged transmitted light equipment. This then allows the examination of samples in brightfield transmitted light or polarization contrast.

The continuously adjustable 25 W halogen lamp offers optimum light conditions for all observation and documentation techniques. If required, even simple fluorescence examinations can be performed.

The microscope image of a material sample is only as good as its surface. Sample preparation is therefore of paramount importance.
